MECC Has Adopted Policies Meeting COVID-19 Health Guidelines
We have prepared the classroom and outdoor environments following directives and guidance provided by the Health and Human Services Department, the Center for Disease Control and the California Department of Education. Below is a list of some of the measures we are taking to keep your children safe:
Small group sizes in each classroom (6-10)
Children provided blankets and pillows laundered on site.
Personal items from home are limited to change of clothes and jacket/sweater.
Consistent teaching staff trained in COVID-19 safety procedures for child care.
Sanitizing and disinfecting all shared indoor spaces throughout the day.
Handwashing schedules and proper procedures as part of the daily curriculum.
Teaching Staff and all adults wear masks in the classrooms.
Safe drop off and pick up procedures include distancing, masks, temperature taking, health surveys and well checks.
Health and safety are at the forefront, but there is plenty of Joy, Learning and Fun at MECC
